2001
In October of 2001, at Joseph Angelini Jr.'s Memorial service, a few of Joe's friends started talking about Joe Jr. and the good times they had together. They thought "what better way to remember Joe and all who died on 9/11, than by having an annual Motorcycle ride". Joe loved bikes, and he would have approved. So over many beers the run was born. That first year saw 350 bikes turn out on a cold November 11th.
2002
This year (and every year after ) the run was held on the Sunday before Labor Day. We added.
- Vendors.
- Food (lunch provided with entry).
- 2 Bands - Live Music.
- $2,000 in merchandise raffled off.
- Door Prizes.
- Biker Games.
- Sky Divers.
The rain kept the number of riders down, but good time was had by all.
2003
Last year the weather was great and over 1,500 motorcycles turned out to honor those lost on 9/11/01. It was our best year yet and this run is still growing.
